Shorts: Release Friday – 14 & 21 March 2025

Haha I’ve already failed by skipping last Friday, but I really didn’t have mental capacities. And while I didn’t have time yesterday, I found the time now, so here’s a collection of my fave releases the last two weeks:

Bloodred Hourglass, one of my beloved Melodic Death Metal bands from Finland, released a new song called We Should Be Buried Like This

Our Mirage teamed up with Christopher Kristensen of Dead By April for their new single Don’t Talk

And we’ve got some new album releases:

My personal favourite Dark Rock / Neue Deutsche Härte band from Germany, Eisbrecher, finally released their new album Kaltfront. It includes features with Sotiria (Germans – especially millennials and older – might know and remember her under the pseudonym Eisblume), Joachim Witt and Schattenmann. Also, some of the songs were produced by one of my personal favourite musicians on earth, Christoph Wieczorek of Annisokay. Not sure if I’ll find the time to write a full album review, so in short: I love it. They don’t disappoint. Never. (And I still haven’t seen them life like EVER, despite listening to them for about 18 years now. Too bad.)

Also the German Pirate/Folk Metal Band Storm Seeker released a new album called Set The Sails. I discovered them only recently and only because they have one particularly striking instrument I’m very fond of, as people who know me also know very well: a hurdy-gurdy 👀

And finally (and I will definitely write a review for this one): Yesterday was finally the release of one of my more awaited albums this year: My beloved Panjabi Metal band Bloodywood finally released their new album Nu Delhi
