Here I want to „showcase“ some of my concert photos.
I am a hobby photographer without any professional experience and I have never really shot a concert with an accreditation. I used to take photos at concerts as a hobby for many many years, until I stopped going to concerts.
I then re-started concert photography in 2022 for private purpose only – basically to collect a bunch of memories of my favourite bands (haha look at the photos and guess which one 🙄). So all of my photos were taken from within the crowd, somewhere as far at the front as possible. I usually use a compact camera (Sony RX 100V) and shoot in RAW format. Afterwards I edit with Adobe Lightroom.
It wasn’t until 2023 that I discovered the joys of denoising (thanks to a friendly hint from a fellow photographer in the fediverse), so from today’s pov, I’d love to re-edit a lot of my photos from 2022, but I still love some of them.
In November 2023 I got to test a rented Canon EOS R8 with a kit lense at a Self Deception show in Hanover.
I’d like to dive deeper into concert photography, but realistically speaking I guess I lack the skill, the guts and the time to follow that path any further. Yet, some of the photos might look pretty decent.
