Album review: Versengold – Lautes Gedenken

On Friday, the German folk rock band Versengold published their new album „Lautes Gedenken“. It marks their 20 year anniversary as a band and hence includes a song celebrating that exactly. Concert review: Smash Into Pieces & Cyan Kicks – Resonanzwerk Oberhausen, 02 November 2023

Boom. First time I’ll actually post about a concert here. Don’t take the „concert review“ too seriously, I guess it’s just a bit of rambling. So last night we went to Oberhausen to see Smash Into Pieces. To be fair, yesterday wasn’t exactly my day. I was super tired after work and I wasn’t really too excited about the show either. I like Smash Into Pieces, but it’s not a band I listen to excessively. They were one of my Spotify discoveries that kept popping up in Mixtapes and such and somehow stayed. Ready for take-off?

I decided to start a blog again. I don’t know where this is going, how this is going to go and for how long this is going to go but … let’s give it a try. My core motivation was to stop annoying my poor mastodon followers by making lengthy text posts about concert experiences, music related stuff or whatever I feel like talking about. So I’m trying a blog instead. My aim is to use it for … the afforementioned stuff, mostly. Plus maybe occasional talks about books I’m reading or stories I’m writing. Symphonies – my passion for music (which is usually not very symphonic) – and „poetries“ – my love for literature, although the word „poetry“ is not supposed to be taken literally.
